1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy applies to Time Lapse Camera: Video Maker (the “Application”), operated by Monova Tech Pvt. Ltd., Birtamod Municipality-4, Jhapa, Nepal (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Service Provider”).
The Application enables users to capture time-lapse sequences and create videos. This policy describes how information is accessed, processed, stored, and disclosed when you use its features, interact with advertisements, or contact us.
It distinguishes media processed locally on your device from information handled by advertising services and information you separately provide to us. Available features, controls, and permissions can vary by app release, device, and Android version.
We are responsible for personal information whose purposes and means of processing we determine, including support correspondence and privacy requests. Where applicable law uses the term “data controller”, we act as controller for that processing.
2. Information We Handle
Camera previews and time-lapse recordings
When you activate camera features, the Application accesses camera frames to display a preview and capture a sequence at your selected interval. These frames are used to create the recording or video you request.
The local time-lapse workflow described in this policy processes camera frames and video content on your device. It does not automatically transmit your live camera feed or recordings to our servers or supply their contents to AdMob for advertising.
Camera content may contain identifiable people, private surroundings, documents, or other personal information. Local processing does not make that content anonymous.
Selected media and video creation
If your installed release supports importing media, the Application accesses images, videos, or audio files that you select or authorise it to access. These files are used for the requested project, editing operation, preview, or export.
Video creation may involve assembling frames, adjusting playback speed, rendering previews, and encoding output files. Access to selected media does not, by itself, authorise unrelated use of the rest of your media library.
Audio, where supported
Capturing a silent time-lapse sequence does not require microphone audio. If your installed release offers microphone recording, audio is accessed when you activate that feature and grant the required permission. An imported audio track is accessed when you select it for a supported feature.
Files, metadata, settings, and temporary information
Media files and project records may include file names, creation dates, duration, dimensions, orientation, frame rate, capture intervals, and export settings. Existing files may contain metadata added by another app or device, including location information.
The Application may store local preferences, project information, thumbnails, temporary frames, and cached previews to support recording and export. Saving or sharing media does not guarantee that all metadata is removed.
Advertising-related information
Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK process advertising-related information. The specific information depends on the SDK version, configuration, device settings, consent choices, and applicable restrictions. It can include:
- Network information: IP address and connection information. An IP address may be used to estimate general location.
- Identifiers: Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other device or account-related identifiers supported by the SDK where applicable and permitted.
- Device and application details: device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and relevant technical settings.
- Interaction information: ad requests, impressions, clicks, video views, app launches, taps, and interactions measured by the SDK.
- Diagnostics: errors, crash information, performance measurements, and SDK diagnostic data.
- Privacy preferences: consent status and signals used to apply advertising choices and regional restrictions.
Advertising information may be transmitted to Google and relevant advertising service partners. On-device video processing does not mean that the Application has no network activity or advertising data collection.
Support and privacy communications
When you contact us, we receive your email address, message content, attachments you choose to send, and ordinary email delivery information. You may voluntarily provide your device model, Android version, app version, or a description of an issue.
Please avoid sending sensitive recordings, passwords, identity documents, or unrelated personal information unless necessary for a specific request.
3. Device Permissions
Camera
Camera permission is used to display the preview and capture frames for recordings you initiate. Declining or revoking this permission prevents camera features that depend on it from operating.
Photos, videos, and storage
Media access is used to open selected source files and save recordings, projects, or exported videos. Depending on Android version and implementation, this may use a system picker, shared media storage, or a media or storage permission. Some storage operations do not require a separate runtime permission.
Microphone, where applicable
If an audio-recording feature is included, microphone permission is used for audio capture you initiate. It is not needed solely to capture silent time-lapse frames.
Foreground services and notifications, where applicable
An ongoing recording or export may use a foreground service and status notification where supported. Continuing camera use while the interface is not visible depends on Android restrictions and the feature involved. Camera recording must be initiated by you.
Network and advertising access
Internet access, network-state information, and advertising identifier access may be used for AdMob delivery, measurement, and related permitted processing. Some permissions are granted automatically rather than through a runtime prompt.
Other sensitive access
The time-lapse workflow described here does not require contacts, SMS, call history, or precise GPS location. Approximate location inferred from an IP address is separate from GPS access.
You can manage available permissions through Android Settings. Revoking a permission limits future access covered by it but does not necessarily delete existing files or information already transmitted. Device permissions do not replace separate advertising consent where legally required.
4. How Information Is Used
Information is used for the following purposes:
- Providing camera previews and capturing time-lapse frames.
- Processing selected media, preparing previews, and rendering or exporting videos.
- Saving available settings and project information.
- Carrying out sharing actions you initiate.
- Delivering advertisements and measuring advertising performance and interactions.
- Diagnosing technical issues and preventing fraud, invalid advertising traffic, and abuse.
- Applying consent choices and privacy restrictions.
- Responding to support messages and privacy requests.
- Complying with legal obligations and establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims where necessary.
Support correspondence and private media you send for assistance are not used by us for advertising targeting.
Legal bases where required
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing necessary to deliver a service you request may rely on performance of a contract. Support, service protection, and fraud prevention may rely on legitimate interests, subject to your rights and interests. Legally mandated processing relies on legal obligations.
Activities requiring consent, including relevant device storage or access and advertising personalisation, rely on that consent. Different advertising activities may have different legal bases, described in the applicable consent disclosures and provider information.
You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Installing or continuing to use the Application does not substitute for affirmative consent where it is required.
5. Google AdMob and Advertising
The Application displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Google and participating advertising service providers may use mobile identifiers, SDK storage, and related technologies for ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud prevention.
Personalised and non-personalised ads
Personalised advertisements may use permitted information about interests or activity to select relevant ads, where enabled and legally permitted.
Non-personalised or contextual advertisements use more limited selection criteria. They may still involve data processing or device storage for delivery, frequency management, measurement, security, and fraud prevention. Disabling personalisation does not necessarily stop all advertising processing or remove advertisements.
Consent and advertising choices
Where consent is legally required, the relevant processing must not begin without valid consent. For personalised advertising in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent-management platform integrating the applicable transparency framework.
Use the consent or privacy-options controls displayed in the Application, where applicable, to review or change your choices. Contact us if you need help finding them. The ads available to you may depend on your choices, applicable restrictions, and Google’s serving rules.
Android advertising privacy settings may allow you to reset or delete your advertising ID or manage other ad privacy features. Google account controls may provide additional choices. These controls do not necessarily delete information already collected.

7. Storage and Retention
Recordings and exported media
Saved recordings and exports remain in their storage location until you or another authorised app or service removes them. Uninstalling the Application may leave files saved to shared storage or your gallery.
Copies in cloud accounts, backups, or recipients’ systems follow those services’ separate retention rules.
Projects, preferences, and temporary files
Local project information, preferences, and temporary files may remain until overwritten, cleaned up, cleared through Android storage controls, or removed during uninstall. Interrupted recordings or exports may leave temporary frames or incomplete files.
Clearing app data can permanently remove local projects and files not saved elsewhere. Device backup or transfer services may preserve or restore some information, depending on configuration.
Support and privacy records
We retain identifiable correspondence while resolving your request and necessary follow-up. Afterwards, information is retained only where needed for an unresolved matter, legal obligation, or legal claim.
A limited record of a privacy request and our response may be retained to demonstrate appropriate handling. Information no longer needed is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
Advertising information
Google and relevant advertising providers retain information according to their policies, processing purposes, and legal requirements. Retention varies by information category and purpose. Uninstalling, clearing app data, or changing an advertising identifier does not necessarily delete information already received by those providers.
8. Your Choices and Data Deletion
Manage local information
- Stop recordings through the available recording controls.
- Manage camera, microphone, media, and notification permissions through Android Settings.
- Delete saved recordings and exports through your gallery or file manager.
- Review recently deleted folders, cloud copies, and backups separately.
- Clear cached information or app data through Android storage controls, or uninstall the Application. Save any work you want to keep before clearing storage.
Manage advertising preferences
Use applicable in-app consent controls, Android advertising privacy settings, and Google privacy controls to manage available choices. Withdrawing consent stops future processing that depends on that consent but does not automatically erase information previously collected.
Request deletion of information held by us
Email rajesh@monovatech.com with the subject Time Lapse Camera: Video Maker — Data Deletion . Describe the relevant communication or information. Where possible, contact us from the email address associated with the original communication.
We may request proportionate additional information where necessary and legally permitted to verify a request. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed.
We cannot remotely retrieve or erase media stored only on your device. Uninstalling does not delete support emails previously sent to us or automatically submit a deletion request.
Requests concerning information independently controlled by Google may need to be submitted through Google’s privacy channels. We will handle information under our control and assist with identifying the relevant route.
We respond within applicable legal deadlines and explain lawful retention exceptions where permitted. You may submit a request even if you have no app account.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, applicable law, and the processing involved, you may have rights to:
- Know how personal information is processed.
- Access personal information and obtain a copy.

If your request is denied, you may request an explanation and appeal where applicable law provides that right. Contact us with the subject “Privacy Appeal”. Users in Nepal may exercise rights available under applicable Nepalese privacy law.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Application is a general-purpose camera and video utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, or below a higher age requiring parental consent under applicable law, without the necessary authorisation.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without required consent, contact us so we can investigate and delete information where required. Avoid including unnecessary copies of a child’s private media.
Where a user is identified as a child or below the relevant age of consent, advertising must follow applicable child-protection requirements and Google’s restrictions. Personalised advertising must not be served to users identified as children.
Parents and guardians should supervise media capture, permissions, sharing, and device privacy settings.
11. International Processing
We are based in Nepal. Google advertising services, email services, hosting providers, and other relevant service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Where legally required for transfers under our responsibility, we use an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, together with additional measures where necessary.
Google describes its international processing and safeguards in its privacy materials. Contact us for information concerning safeguards relevant to information under our control.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we handle, including restricting access to support and privacy correspondence to authorised people and providers who need it.
Google states that information collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security.
Local media security also depends on your device, screen lock, storage permissions, installed apps, and backup settings. Review which apps and cloud services can access your recordings. This policy does not claim that gallery files are encrypted by the Application.
No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure. If an incident involving information under our control requires notification, we will notify relevant authorities and affected individuals as required by law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in features, data handling, advertising services, or legal requirements. The current version will display its last-updated date.
Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing materially different processing.
Publishing an updated policy or continuing to use the Application does not replace any separate permission, prominent disclosure, or affirmative consent required by applicable law.
